"Painters of the Eastern Shore," a display of more than 60 works of regional art, and six generations of one family's art from the Parsons and
Hanks collection will be shown tomorrow through Sept. 20 at the Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art in Salisbury. The public can meet artists featured in both exhibits at a reception tomorrow from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art is at 909 S. Schumaker Drive in Salisbury. Museum hours are Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and Sunday, noon-5 p.m. Admission is $5 for members and $7 for nonmembers. Call 410-742-4988.
Lynn at fair
This year's Delaware State Fair will start today and continue through Aug. 1. Tonight at 7, the fair will open its gates for a free preview night that will include a performance of the Great American Wild West Show. The highlight of this year's festival is country-music legend Loretta Lynn, who will perform at the Wilmington Trust Grandstand on Monday.
Tickets for Loretta Lynn's concert, as well as other grandstand concerts, are on sale at the fair's ticket office or by phone at 302-398-5020. The fair, on U.S. Route 13 in Harrington, Del., runs today, 7 p.m.-10 p.m.; tomorrow, 5 p.m.-10 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m.-10 p.m.; and Sunday-Aug. 1, 8 a.m.-10 p.m. Admission is $4; kids under 10 get in free.
