THE BALTIMORE SUN

Name: Steve Morley

Team: England

Position: Attack

Age: 32

The skinny: Began playing lacrosse 20 years ago in grammar school in England after seeing some classmates playing the game, and continued to play through college. "I thought it would be interesting to give it a try," Morley said. He now plays for a club team, Heaton Mersey. These World Games are Morley's third as a member of the English team, and, he said, will be his last. His speed and power has made him one of England's top scoring threats -- he scored four goals in England's 10-9 loss to the Iroqouis Nation on Friday. Morley is a police detective in South Yorkshire.

Superstitions: Morley likes to come out last for each game and "take it as it comes." Distraught over Friday's loss, Morley said "Maybe I should get a new [superstition]."
