Three teens injured when car skids off road, overturns

Three teen-agers were injured late Saturday when a Dodge Sundance being driven by a 17-year-old skidded off a South Carroll road, hit a satellite television dish and overturned, state police said.

Police did not name the juvenile driver.

The southbound car crashed at 11: 02 p.m. in the 2100 block of Bowersox Road south of Jordans Retreat Road southwest of Westminster.

The driver was taken by state MedEvac helicopter to Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore soon after the crash.

His condition was not available.

Two passengers in the car, Jason Poole, 18, of Westminster and Jessica Roebuck, 15, of Sykesville were taken to Carroll County General Hospital, where they were treated and released, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Fire

Sykesville: Firefighters responded at 12: 34 a.m. Saturday to a fire alarm in the 7300 block of Second Ave. Units were out 16 minutes.
