Thirty Maryland mayors, including New Windsor's Jack A. Gullo Jr., met with federal officials in Washington last week.
Gullo, past president of the Maryland Mayors Association, helped organize the trip to Capitol Hill, where municipal officials met with Maryland senators and representatives.
"It was one worthwhile, collegial body meeting with another," said Gullo.
Transportation issues dominated many of the conversations, Gullo said. The group also watched sessions in both the House and the Senate.
"We would like to make this an annual event," said Gullo. "We are fortunate enough to be so close that we can reach out and get our problems addressed easier."
