Finksburg Planning Area Council will have a community meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at Sandy Mount United Methodist Church.

The Baltimore Regional Transportation Plan will be discussed. The detailed, long-range plan for the Baltimore metropolitan region's transportation system includes a look at the proposed Westminster bypass.

The Baltimore Metropolitan Planning Organization has endorsed several principles for regional transportation, including improving community life, increasing transportation choices and maintaining the current system. Economic development and environmental goals for the plan have been approved.

Police

Westminster: A resident of Campus Court told police Wednesday that hubcaps were stolen from her vehicle while it was parked at 140 Village Shopping Center. Loss was estimated at $200.

Westminster: An employee of East Middle School told police Thursday that someone damaged several windows and security lights. Loss was estimated at $100.

Fire

Westminster: Firefighters responded at 6: 27 a.m. Thursday to a fire alarm in the 1200 block of Tech Court.
