After stopping a car Saturday night in Baltimore County and arresting a man and a teen-age male, a state trooper found 11 3-inch-long sticks of dynamite in the vehicle.

Trooper Derek Howell said he was parked on the shoulder of southbound Interstate 95 at New Forge Road in Perry Hall about 8: 20 p.m. when a 1994 Toyota Tercel sped past.

Howell stopped the car -- reported stolen in Virginia on Thursday -- at Feather Hill Road in Perry Hall and arrested the occupants. He saw a book bag on the rear seat, "looked in and saw the sticks of dynamite."

The driver, Lester J. Relyea, 21, and the teen-ager, both of Canastota, N.Y., were each charged with auto theft, illegal possession of explosives and possession of two stolen cell phones, Howell said.

Relyea was being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on $165,000 bond, and the youth was at the Charles H. Hickey Jr. School in Cub Hill.
