Sign ordinance is topic of county zoning meeting

The Carroll County Office of Zoning will hold a public meeting on the county's sign ordinance and proposed amendments at 7 p.m. July 29 in the main hearing room at the County Office Building in Westminster.

The meeting will include a review of the types of signs allowed. Examples will be shown. The purpose of the meeting is to educate the public on what is allowed under the current ordinance and what changes have been proposed.

Citizens groups, homeowners associations and others are invited to attend. Public comment will be taken on the current ordinance and concerns or suggested changes.

Groups planning to attend are asked to call the zoning office at 410-386-2980 by July 27 and provide the number of people expected.

The County Office Building is at 225 N. Center St. Please enter the side entrance facing Court Street and Route 140.
