Jays' Stieb to make 1st start in 5 years

THE BALTIMORE SUN

Dave Stieb, who will be 41 years old in one week, will get his first major-league start in more than five years tonight against the Chicago White Sox.

While Stieb said he is trying "not to think too much about it," Blue Jays manager Tim Johnson admitted to being "very excited" about Stieb's return as a starter.

"I played with Stieb when he was a rookie for the Blue Jays and it's great to see him out there again as a starter," Johnson said before last night's Orioles game. "I'm proud of him and it's a thrill for me to be a part of this."
