The former principal of Atholton and Oakland Mills high schools in Howard County was named manager of Charles I. Ecker's gubernatorial campaign yesterday.

Bill Chesnutt, a volunteer in the Howard County chief executive's campaign, replaces Geyer Wise, who left last month to work closer to her home in the New York area. Chesnutt, a native of Illinois, has lived in Maryland for the past 35 years.
