THE BALTIMORE SUN

A 38-year-old Lochearn woman pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in city Circuit Court yesterday for luring a Baltimore County drug dealer to her home, where he was robbed and beaten to death in 1988.

JoAnn Petty of the 6800 block of Alter Street pleaded guilty before Judge Clifton J. Gordy, admitting that she called Jason A. Ely, 21, and told him she had someone ready to buy drugs from him at her home, prosecutors said.

Her brother, Willie Petty, 36, of Berlin, Worcester County, and Jimmie McKoy, 34, of Baltimore pleaded guilty Tuesday to robbing and beating Ely, stuffing his body into the trunk of his Toyota Cressida and leaving it in Leakin Park on Jan. 1, 1988. Sentencing for all three defendants is set for Sept. 25.
