A study in student art

THE BALTIMORE SUN

For its eighth annual Emerging Artists Exhibition, the Maryland Federation of Arts in Annapolis decided to organize a show devoted to work by undergraduate and graduate art students, plus artists studying in continuing education programs.

The juror who selected the work was Nancy Palmer, chair of the fine art department at Washington's Corcoran School of Art. She picked 48 works by 31 artists.

Maryland is well-represented with students from the Maryland Institute, College of Art; the University of Maryland, College Park; Towson University; and Frostburg State University, among others.

The show is at the Maryland Federation of Art Gallery on the Circle, 18 State Circle, Annapolis, through July 26. 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays. Call 410-268-4566.
