ROCK HALL -- The body of a 24-year-old Pennsylvania man, who had been missing since Friday and presumed drowned, was recovered yesterday morning in Grays Inn Creek off the Chester River in Kent County, the Maryland Department of Natural Resources said.
Someone spotted the body of John B. Daniels of Broomall, Pa., about 6: 40 a.m. and called Rock Hall Fire Department, said Nancy Howard, DNR spokeswoman. The body was taken to the state medical examiner's office for an autopsy.
Daniels had been swimming with two friends, Robert and Mark Dixon, both of Glen Burnie, when he disappeared about 6 p.m. Friday. Police said alcohol was a contributing factor in the drowning.
