James Castagna shot even par for two days to capture the lead at 142, one stroke ahead of Wes Lovell and Mitch Wyant in the Maryland Amateur Stroke Play at Mount Pleasant Golf Course.

Wyant recorded yesterday's low round, a 3-under-par 68.

Keith Janecek, the first-round leader, fell into a two-way tie for third at 144 with Kirk Lombardi.
