Flight patterns to change at BWI for runway work

THE BALTIMORE SUN

Residents northeast and southwest of Baltimore-Washington International Airport can expect a little more noise overhead this weekend as the airport closes two jet runways for lighting and pavement repairs.

Airport officials said residents in Merriweather, Timber Ridge, Harmans, Severn, Linthicum, Ferndale and Brooklyn Park can expect unusually busy traffic patterns overhead as workers make repairs between midnight and 6 a.m. Sunday and Monday.

The repairs should be completed by Monday morning, weather permitting, airport officials said. The repairs will be rescheduled in the event of bad weather.

Residents with complaints may call the airport's Noise Program Office at 410-859-7021.
