Howard County police are investigating the rape of a 34-year-old Baltimore woman after a business meeting in a Columbia hotel room this week.
The woman told police that she met a prospective client in the lobby of the Marriott Courtyard about 12: 30 p.m. Wednesday, said Sgt. Steven E. Keller, a department spokesman.
After talking in the lobby for about 30 minutes, the pair went upstairs to the man's room, Keller said.
They finished their work about 1: 30 p.m. and the man then sexually assaulted her, Keller said.
The victim, whose name was withheld by police, reported the rape to authorities the next day, Keller said.
