Indians: Pitcher Jaret Wright reached first on an infield single when he tried to sacrifice and no one fielded his bunt in the eighth. It was his first hit in seven career at-bats.

Mariners: Ken Griffey's homer was the 317th of his career, tying him with George Brett for 67th place.

Mets: New York turned two double plays after getting four on Friday.

Red Sox: Troy O'Leary returned to the lineup after sitting out his first game since April 10. He had been in a 3-for-27 slump but singled in his first at-bat.

Tigers: Detroit scored in the first inning for only the 10th time in 56 games.

Twins: Eric Milton (University of Maryland) was a high school star in Bellefonte, Pa., about 125 miles east of Pittsburgh. He went 2-for-3 in his first career at-bats.

White Sox: Albert Belle went 0-for-5 and had his hitting streak stopped at 11 games.

L Yankees: Bernie Williams has 16 hits in his past 33 at-bats.
