The Anne Arundel County grand jury has returned four presentations following its investigation of the gun battle at Shamrock Shore, Curtis Bay, when Joseph Cunningham was shot to death. -- The Sun, June 11, 1923.

John N. Mackall, chairman of the State Roads Commission, is proposing that the ideal location for a ferry is from a point near Log Inn, on the Anne Arundel shore just above Sandy Point lighthouse, to Kent Island. -- The Sun, June 12, 1923.

Twenty-eight students graduated from St. John's College, but the high point of the graduation was the retirement of Dr. Thomas Fell after 37 years as president. He was presented with a handsome loving cup, inscribed with the single word, "Love." -- The Sun, June 14, 1923.
