Athletics: Reliever Dave Telgheder left in the fifth inning after he sprained his right knee when planting to throw to first base. He is day-to-day. Rickey Henderson stole two bases Monday night, giving him 21 for the season and tying him with Tom Goodwin of Texas for the AL lead. Henderson, 39, is on a pace for 63 steals, which would be his best total since 65 in 1990.

Devil Rays: Fred McGriff has gone 29 games without a home run. He hasn't homered since April 28, a stretch of 110 at-bats. Quinton McCracken has eight three-hit games this season.

Rangers: Shortstop Kevin Elster, who injured his left shoulder diving for a ball in the eighth inning Monday night, returned to Texas where he'll undergo an MRI today. Juan Gonzalez, Will Clark and Ivan Rodriguez were a combined 0-for-12 against Tampa's Rolando Arrojo in Monday night's 4-1 loss.

Red Sox: Nomar Garciaparra extended his hitting streak to 10 games Monday night with his home run.

Tigers: Tony Clark's homer, his eighth of the season, traveled an estimated 434 feet into the upper deck bleachers in right-center at Tiger Stadium.
