Northern District
Shooting: A man and his stepson were arguing in their home in the 600 block of Melville Ave. about 1: 40 a.m. yesterday when the youth shot the man four times in the upper body. The victim was in critical condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital yesterday. The stepson was being sought.
Burglary/arrests: Two men were arrested Wednesday and charged with entering a home in the 3400 block of Barclay St. after breaking a window and stealing a radio, two videocassette recorders, two remote control devices, jewelry and a stereo amplifier, all valued at more than $2,000. The property was recovered. Neighbors saw the men leaving the house and called police.
Burglary: Photographic equipment and jewelry, all valued at more than $3,000, were stolen Wednesday from a house in the 1100 block of Bryn Mawr Road.
Burglary: A TV, stereo equipment, camera, shoes, perfume, watches and luggage, all valued at more than $500, were stolen Wednesday from a house in the 3600 block of Greenmount Ave.
Burglary: Two sewing machines, a 13-inch TV and a professional laundry iron, all valued at nearly $3,000, were stolen Wednesday from a house in the 3100 block of Loch Raven Blvd.
Southern District
Burglary: Tools and a propane gas cooking grill, all valued at nearly $2,000, were removed Wednesday from a storage shed in the 3300 block of 10th St.
Northwestern District
Robbery: A man, 18, was walking on a path in the 4300 block of Wabash Ave. about 11 a.m. Wednesday when a gunman robbed him of his tennis shoes and $20.
Robbery: A gunman standing outside the drive-through window of McDonald's restaurant in the 4400 block of Reisterstown Road robbed a cashier of $170 about 6: 25 p.m. Wednesday.
Eastern District
Burglary/arrest: A male occupant of a house in the 1800 block of N. Washington St. chased a burglar from his residence Wednesday and caught him with assistance from a passer-by. Curtis Mayes, 34, of the 4300 block of Marble Hall Road was charged with burglary, police said.
Drug arrest: Officer Michael Johnson was in the 2400 block of E. Chase St. on Wednesday when he arrested a male resident of the street for possessing narcotics. Police recovered 17 plastic vials containing a white substance, believed to be heroin or cocaine.
White Marsh Precinct
Burglary: A freezer of unknown value was stolen from a public storage locker at Golden Ring Mini Storage in the 8800 block of Philadelphia Road between March 4 and May 27.
Essex Precinct
Burglary: Tools valued at nearly $700 were stolen Tuesday night or Wednesday morning from a house in the 800 block of Middle River Road.
