The seven-member Harford County Council unanimously approved last night a $317.3 million operating and capital budget for the fiscal year that begins on July 1.
The largest item in the budget is $122.6 million for the county's 49-school public education system.
The budget also included $3 million for a controversial center for senior citizens and youths in Bel Air, which will be built on a wooded site that residents want to preserve as open space.
