A 2-year-old Annapolis boy drowned yesterday in the pool at a Pasadena home he was visiting, Anne Arundel County police said.

Brannon McCarthy was found at the bottom of the pool in the 100 block of Stonestep Court in the Brittingham community about 6 p.m. yesterday, said Anne Arundel County Police spokeswoman Lisa Ritter. The boy was rushed to North Arundel Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 6: 40 p.m.

Ritter said the boy had been attending a soccer party at the home.
