Leslie Harvey from Randallstown scored a big upset yesterday to win the girls singles title in the state championships at Essex Community College

Harvey, the third seed, defeated Jennifer Hellier of Broadneck in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4.

Stephen Decatur's top-seeded Chris Zielinski took the boys singles with a straight-set win over Wootton's Nitin Deodhar, 6-1, 6-4.
