Southern District
Arson: Someone poured gasoline onto a four-door 1998 Plymouth with tags CEE 166 parked in the 1100 block of Covington St. on Wednesday, set it ablaze and destroyed the vehicle valued at more than $15,000. The incident was being investigated, and police were trying to determine if the car was stolen and abandoned.
Eastern District
Burglary try/arrest: Officer Kenneth R. Patzman was patrolling the 1800 block of N. Milton Ave. on Wednesday night when he saw two men trying to break into Allen's Moving & Storage by forcing a bay door. After arresting the men, Patzman recovered burglary tools near the door. Both suspects were charged with attempted burglary.
Burglary: A videocassette recorder, 19-inch television, 20 compact discs and several videotapes, all valued at nearly $800, were stolen Wednesday from the living room of a house in the 2000 block of Orleans St. The burglar entered through a first-floor window.
Northern District
Theft: A man was in the 2000 block of Maryland Ave. on Wednesday when one of two men standing near him stole his wallet containing $30.
Burglary: Jewelry and a 35 mm camera were stolen Wednesday from the bedroom of a house in the 3600 block of Malden Ave.
White Marsh Precinct
Robbery: A man threatened an employee at Knell's Crown station in the 7500 block of Belair Road on Wednesday night and forced the employee to give him $40 from the cash register.
Essex Precinct
Burglary: Someone entered the Civil Air Patrol office in the 700 block of Wilson Point Road between May 14 and Tuesday and stole a scanner valued at $400.
Towson Precinct
Burglary: A videocassette recorder, telephone and watches, all of unknown value, were stolen Wednesday from an apartment in the 6600 block of Collinsdale Road by someone who entered after breaking a door.
Garrison Precinct
Arson: Fires were set in the bedroom and kitchen of an apartment in the first block of Brubar Court on Wednesday, causing fire, smoke and water damage.
Woodlawn Precinct
Burglary: Electronic equipment and several accessories, all valued at more than $300, were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 3300 block of Fieldview Road.
