Joint plans again offered by 2 concert associations

THE BALTIMORE SUN

No sooner did their seasons end than the Anne Arundel Community Concert Association and the South County Concert Association launched subscription drives for next season, which will be the third year the associations have offered a joint subscription.

The associations allow subscribers to one series to attend all concerts offered by the other.

Subscription prices for both are $35 for adults and $10 for students. The South County association offers family plans of $45 for a single-parent family or $80 for a two-parent family.

The Anne Arundel association's concerts will be at Severna Park High School, 60 Robinson Road. The South County series is at Southern Senior High School, on Route 2 in Harwood.

The Anne Arundel season begins Sept. 17 with Diva, an all-female big band. The Annapolis Chorale will be heard Oct. 7, and soprano Alba Quezada will sing Nov. 5. Quartetto Gelato will perform traditional and classical favorites March 17.

The season will end April 13 with German pianist Jan Gottlieb Jiracek.

The South County season will open Sept. 11 with Footworks, a percussive dance troupe. The Duttons will appear Oct. 31, and the Black Mountain Male Chorus of Wales will be heard Dec. 10.

Pianist and narrator Richard Glazier will present a multimedia tribute to George and Ira Gershwin on March 14, and Lainie Nelson will sing the songs of World War II on April 30.
