Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Southwestern District

Shooting: A man and his girl friend were drinking beer in a wooded area in the 4600 block of Edmondson Ave. about 11 p.m. Tuesday when two men, one with a handgun, approached and announced a robbery. When the man got up to flee, the gunman shot him in a leg and shoulder. The woman was not injured. The victim was in good condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center yesterday.

Northeastern District

Shooting: A teen-age male was at Harford Road and The Alameda about 4 p.m. yesterday when a gunman got out of a car and fired three shots, hitting him in the arm and leg. The victim was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Eastern District

Assault: A man struck another man in the head with a cane Tuesday in the 700 block of N. Port St. The victim was treated for lacerations at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Robbery: A deliveryman for Bond Distributing Co. in the 1200 block of Bernard Drive was making a delivery in the 700 block of N. Milton Ave. about 4 p.m. Tuesday when a man placed an unknown object in his back and robbed him of several hundred dollars.

Northern District

Shooting: A man was engaging in a drug deal with three other men in the 500 block of Sheridan Ave. about 1 a.m. yesterday when one of them pulled a handgun and shot him in the left shoulder. The victim was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital and released.

Theft from vehicle: A walkie-talkie radio, cash and other property, all valued at more than $1,000, were stolen Tuesday from a city-owned dump truck parked in Druid Hill Park.

Cockeysville Precinct

Bank robbery: A man robbed the Provident Bank of Maryland in Cranbrook Shopping Center about 1: 25 p.m. yesterday while implying he was armed with a handgun. As the man escaped on foot, a dye pack hidden among the money exploded. An undisclosed sum of money was recovered.
