Purse: $2.3 million (winner receives $414,000)

Television: USA (Today and tomorrow, 4-6 p.m.) and CBS (Saturday-Sunday, 3-6 p.m.)

Last year: South Africa's David Frost won his 10th tour title, finishing with a 3-under 67 for a two-stroke victory over Brad Faxon and David Ogrin. Frost had a 15-under 265 total.

Last week: John Cook won the Byron Nelson Classic at Irving, Texas, closing with a 5-under 65 for a three-stroke victory over Fred Couples, Hal Sutton and Harrison Frazar. Cook had a 15-under 265 total.

Notes: Brad Elder, the 1997 Jack Nicklaus College Player of the Year for the University of Texas, is making his pro debut.

Last year: Rosie Jones successfully defended her title, holing a 50-foot birdie putt on the first hole of a playoff with Tammie Green.

Notes: Lopez replaces Dottie Pepper from last year's foursome.

Senior PGA Tour

Event: Bell Atlantic Classic

Site: Avondale, Pa.

Schedule: Tomorrow through Sunday

Course: Hartefeld National (6,969 yards, par 72)

Purse: $1.1 million (winner receives $165,000)

Television: ESPN (Tomorrow, 3-5 p.m.; Saturday-Sunday, 5: 30-7 p.m.).

Tickets: Season grounds pass $60; daily grounds $20

Directions: From Baltimore Beltway, I-95 North to Exit 4 (Metroform) in Delaware. Exit to Route 7 North and follow for 12 miles. After Pa. Route 41 overpass, turn at the first left onto Kaolin Road. From Baltimore Beltway (Exit 32 North) may take Route 1 North into Pennsylvania. Exit at Route 41 and at top of ramp turn right. Go through Avondale and after several miles take exit for Route 7 and turn left at end of ramp. Pass under Route 41, and the first left is Kaolin Road and entrance to club.

Last year: Bob Eastwood won the rain-shortened tournament, closing with a 1-under 69 for a one-stroke victory over John Bland and Bob E. Smith.

Last week: Larry Ziegler, 58, won the St. Luke's Classic at Belton, Mo., setting a tour record for time between victories (six years, 10 months and three days).

Purse: $1.92 million (winner receives $320,000)

Television: The Golf Channel (Tomorrow, 10 a.m.-1 p.m and 9-11 p.m.; Saturday 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and 9-11 p.m.; Sunday, 10 a.m.-1 p.m and 9-11 p.m.; Monday, 9: 30 a.m.-12: 30 p.m. and 9-11 p.m.).

Last year: Wales' Ian Woosnam closed with a 2-under 70 for a two-stroke victory.

Last week: Darren Clarke won the Benson and Hedges International.

Notes: Ernie Els is making his sixth European tour start of the year. He won the South African Open, has two runner-up finishes and was third in two starts.
