Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore and Baltimore County.
Robbery/shooting: Two men, one with a handgun, robbed Pizza Boli's in the 5000 block of Sinclair Lane of an undisclosed sum of money about 6 p.m. Sunday. During the robbery, one of the men shot an employee in the lower back. The victim was in fair condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital yesterday. Police said the men entered the shop through a rear door that was left open because of the heat.
Drug arrest: Officer Chris Leaverton stopped a 1989 Chevrolet Cavalier in the 2000 block of E. Preston St. about 9: 30 p.m. Sunday because the driver had not turned on the vehicle's headlights. After spotting green vegetable matter and a smoking pipe in the vehicle, Leaverton arrested the driver, a 22-year-old resident of Rosedale, Baltimore County, and charged him with possession of suspected marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Two male juveniles in the car were not charged.
Drug arrest: Officer John Pizzurro was in the 600 block of N. Dukeland St. on Sunday when he saw a man about to give another man what appeared to be narcotics. When Pizzurro approached the pair, one fled. The officer arrested the other man and recovered 23 glass vials of suspected heroin. Marvin Baker, 34, whose address was not available, was charged with possession of suspected heroin with intent to distribute.
Assault: A man was in the 900 block of W. Baltimore St. on FTC Sunday when he was attacked by five men who struck him with their fists and a baseball bat. The victim was in poor condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center yesterday.
North Point Precinct
Robberies: Police were seeking two gunmen who robbed the Golden Corral restaurant in the 7900 block of Eastern Blvd. at 8: 48 p.m. Sunday and the Dunkin Donuts in the 1600 block of Eastern Blvd. in Essex about 20 minutes later. The robbers stole more than $200. In each robbery, the gunmen drove off in a green Chevrolet Geo.
Burglary: A television, videocassette recorder and two wall mirrors, all valued at more than $400, were stolen Sunday from a house in the 2500 block of Snyder Ave. Two men seen leaving the dwelling were being sought.
White Marsh Precinct
Robbery: A gunman robbed the Double-T Diner in the 8300 block of Pulaski Highway and several customers of cash about 8: 30 p.m. Sunday.
Burglary: Someone entered Sears Roebuck at White Marsh Mall between Saturday night and early Sunday morning after cutting a hole in the roof. The intruder broke open an automated teller machine and stole an undisclosed sum of money.
Burglary: Lawn-care equipment was stolen Sunday from the rear yard of a house in the first block of Brightside Ave.
Stolen car: A white 1990 Infiniti Q-45 with tags DYY 983 was stolen Sunday in the 800 block of Cliffedge Road.
Robbery: A 13-year-old boy was riding his bicycle at Franklin High School in the 12000 block of Reisterstown Road about 2: 30 p.m. Sunday when an older male stole the bike.
