Guilford Pharmaceuticals posts go to Hockel, Hilt
Guilford Pharmaceuticals Inc. of Baltimore named Gregory M. Hockel, Ph.D., vice president for regulatory affairs, and Dana C. Hilt, M.D., vice president for clinical research.
Hockel formerly was vice president of regulatory affairs at British Biotech Inc. He received a doctorate in physiology from the Indiana University School of Medicine and an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He is an active member of the Governmental Relations Subcommittee of the Biotechnology Industry Organization.
Hilt, who received his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine, had been director of neuroscience at Amgen Inc., where he was involved in basic research, clinical trials, regulatory strategy and manufacturing.
McCormick appoints Jenkins accounting manager
McCormick & Co., of Sparks, named Katherine A. Jenkins corporate accounting manager. She will have responsibility for the preparation and analysis of consolidated financial statements, employee benefits, accounting oversight and other tasks.
Formerly controller with Pioneer EyeCare, the Perry Hall resident is a graduate of Loyola College and a certified public accountant.
Eisner & Associates names Rogers account executive
Eisner & Associates has hired Kathy Rogers as an account supervisor at the Baltimore advertising agency. Formerly with the Campbell Group, the Virginia Tech graduate is active with the marketing committee of the Baltimore Area Convention and Visitors Association and the Baltimore Office of Promotions' special events committee.
Tomakin joins Noble Steed; Jeanne Oswals promoted
Noble Steed, a Hunt Valley advertising agency, named Jeanne Oswals senior account executive and Engel Tomakin an account coordinator.
Oswals, a graduate of Loyola College, will oversee advertising and marketing activities of several major health care industry accounts. Tomakin, also a Loyola College graduate, will coordinate advertising and marketing activities for Albert S. Smyth Co. and Mercantile Bankshares.
