Police seek adults to help children and perform other duties

THE BALTIMORE SUN

The Baltimore Police Department is seeking adult volunteers to help in a variety of jobs, from working with children to analyzing crime-scene photographs.

Lt. Mary E. Eilerman said the department needs help in areas including public affairs and the crime lab, where a NASA employee uses computers to enhance surveillance photographs taken during bank robberies.

The greatest need is in the 27 Police Athletic League Centers, where police officers work with youths every day from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.
