Mike Janney had four goals and four assists to lead the No. 15-ranked Dulaney Lions (11-1) to a 14-3 victory over visiting Perry Hall in a Class 3A-4A South quarterfinal win yesterday.
Steve Will added three goals and three assists for Dulaney and Alex Nichols had two goals and three assists.
No. 12 Broadneck 7, No. 11 Severna Park 5: Defending state champion Broadneck eliminated neighborhood rival and host Severna Park in the quarterfinals of the Class 4A-3A East Region.
North Harford 12, Patapsco 4: Matt Buecker and Larry Dawson each had two goals as the Hawks rolled to victory in the 1A-2A North quarterfinals.
Bill Farrell had four assists for North Harford.
No. 13 Annapolis 14, Chesapeake-AA 13: The Panthers (12-2) rallied from three goals down after three quarters with seven goals in a six-minute span in the final period and defeated the Cougars in a 3A-4A East quarterfinal.
Senior Steve Briannis led Annapolis with four goals. Juniors Michael McIntyre and Matt Willis had three goals apiece for Chesapeake. Senior Keath Puller kept the Cougars close with 16 saves.
No. 12 Fallston 18, Paint Branch 0: Fran Amasia and Nicole McNeill scored three goals apiece to lead the Cougars (12-1) to a 3A-4A North quarterfinal win over the visiting Panthers (6-7).
Senior Jamie Newman had two goals and assisted on four others for Fallston.
Centennial 21, Hammond 10: Kristen Dinisio scored 11 goals to pace the Eagles over visiting Hammond in a Class 1A-2A South region quarterfinal.
No. 7 Annapolis 19, Chesapeake-AA 2: Kelly and Kristy Dirks combined for nine goals to power the Panthers (16-1) past the HTC Cougars (4-9) in 3A-4A East quarterfinal action. Annapolis faces visiting Old Mill in tomorrow's semifinal at 5: 30 p.m.
