'Rookie' Annapolis Christian knocks off Towson Catholic MIAA C lacrosse


In their first season in the MIAA C Conference, the Annapolis Area Christian Eagles yesterday defeated the visiting Towson Catholic Owls, 18-5, to reach the tournament championship.

Towson Catholic (9-4) had an early 1-0 lead but was outscored 11-1 to close out the first half.

Annapolis Christian junior John Rosacker led all scorers with five goals and two assists. Freshman Dustin Coombe added three goals and an assist for the Eagles.

Towson Catholic junior Ryan Cox scored three goals and assisted on another.
