Area "frogs" will see who can jump the farthest in the Preakness Frog Hop at Patterson Park Recreation Center, as children hop-hop-hop to the fun at noon on Wednesday. Call 410-396-9177. Free.

Kids can eat their hearts out at the Twelfth Annual Lee's Ice Cream Banana Split Stakes, dubbed "the chilliest, as well as messiest, eating contest in Baltimore." Spoons will be provided as participants put their sweet tooth to the test at the Harborplace Amphitheatre. Prizes will be awarded to the fastest sundae eaters. Dig in at noon on Wednesday. Free.
