Astros: The longest win streak in team history is 10 games. Houston has won 10 straight four times, most recently from May 26 to June 4, 1989.

Braves: Atlanta has homered in 15 consecutive games, five short of the 1973 team record and nine short of the NL record.

Cubs: "Tonight Show" host Jay Leno sang in the seventh-inning stretch. The team gave away 10,000 "Daisy the Cow" Beanie Babies to children 13-and-under, their third such promotion. The Beanie Baby had a commemorative ear tag with late broadcaster Harry Caray's caricature and a personalized poem on it. The cow was chosen because of Caray's "Holy Cow" call. The Cubs and Caray, who died Feb. 18, planned the promotion last year.

Dodgers: Los Angeles has won 16 of its past 22 at Three Rivers Stadium, where it hasn't lost consecutive games since May 4-5, 1996.

Expos: F.P. Santangelo singled in the seventh to extend his hitting streak to 12 games.

Giants: Danny Darwin, 42, is the oldest pitcher to start against the Braves since the Marlins' Charlie Hough (46), who lost, 8-3, on June 30, 1994.

Marlins: Edgar Renteria committed his fifth error of the season in the third, the team's major-league-leading 33rd.

Mets: The announcement that the New York Knicks had beaten the Miami Heat in a decisive Game 5 of their NBA playoff series drew one of the day's loudest ovations.

Pirates: Jose Silva's three losses are by 7-0, 7-0 and 10-4. Pittsburgh has scored in the first inning only once in its past 19 games.
