Indiana health care group hires COLA for evaluations

Anthem Health of Indiana Inc., a health care organization, has contracted with COLA, a Columbia-based health care accreditation company, to perform on-site evaluations of Anthem's participating physicians and medical practices.

By contracting out the review process, COLA says Anthem can reduce overhead costs and obtain a uniform review procedure.

COLA, a nonprofit, physician-directed organization providing education and accreditation, is sponsored by the American Academy of Family Physicians, American Medical Association, American Osteopathic Association, American Society of Internal Medicine and College of American Pathologists.

Computer Solutions installs routers at naval air station

Computer Solutions GSD Inc., a Columbia-based computer consulting company, has installed Solectek's AIRLAN wireless bridges and routers to connect eight buildings for wireless communication at the Brunswick Naval Air Station in Maine.

Computer Solutions, owned by Chuck and Caroline Sherman, provides Internet access consulting and disaster recovery planning as well as local and wide-area networks.


Tricia M. Mancuso has been appointed sales and marketing manager for Douglas Homes. Douglas is selling in the model home park in Pheasant Ridge in the Columbia Village of River Hill. Mancuso is a 20-year Columbia resident.

Bonnie C. Hewitt has been named assistant sales manager for Douglas Homes' entry in the model home park.

Mark Slater has been named branch manager of Citizens National Bank's Montpelier office in Laurel. He was promoted from assistant manager for the Long Gate office in Ellicott City, the bank's newest addition to its Howard County branch network.
