The win stopped the Fighting Irish's four-game losing streak, while the Flying Dutchmen (10-4) lost for just the second time in nine games.
Notre Dame (5-7) never trailed and got two goals from Chris Dusseau to lead 3-2 at halftime.

Harvard went ahead for good when Jim Bevilacqua scored with 29 seconds left in the second quarter to break a 7-7 tie.
Brown 14, No. 14 Massachusetts 8: Jed Dewick scored six goals as the unranked Bears (4-9) knocked off the host Minutemen (7-5).
Rob Lyle chipped in with three goals and two assists for Brown, while Mike DelPercio led Massachusetts with four goals.
The Minutemen led 5-2 in the second quarter but the Bears took control with eight straight goals and shut out the Minutemen for 28: 48.
