Two men, one with a handgun, robbed a Popeye's restaurant in Laurel on Wednesday of an undisclosed amount of money, county police said.
The men entered the store in the 3300 block of Laurel Fort Meade Road just before 10 p.m. and ordered employees to the floor, police said.
The gunman struck the manager on the head, and the men took money from the registers and fled, police said.
Police did not provide detailed descriptions of the men.
County police have changed their description of a crash Sunday in Arnold in which a 16-year-old Revell Downs girl and a 67-year-old Podickory Point man were killed.
Police originally said Linwood F. Whitney of the 2100 block of Harbor Drive was making a U-turn on College Parkway and drove into the path of a 1998 Ford Mustang driven by Christine N. Nageotte of the 1600 block of Secretariat Drive.
Whitney and Nageotte died in the crash, and four passengers in Nageotte's car were injured.
After interviewing a survivor and a witness, police said, they have determined that Nageotte's car, which was heading west, crossed into the eastbound lane and collided with Whitney's car.
The cars spun and came to rest in opposing lanes.
Police said a wet road and driver error contributed to the accident.
Five pupils and an adult were injured Wednesday when a school bus collided with a sport utility vehicle on Telegraph Road in Severn.
All of the injuries were minor, and the victims -- the driver of a 1993 Ford Explorer and the children, ages 7 and 8 -- were treated at North Arundel Hospital and released, county police said.
The bus was carrying 28 elementary school children and eight adult chaperones. Police did not say where the bus was headed or what school it was from.
Police said the bus was northbound just after 9 a.m. when the driver of the Explorer, Thelma C. Gheen, 60, of Daytona Beach, Fla., turned left at Route 32 in front of the bus.
The bus hit the Explorer, which spun and came to rest about 20 feet away.
Gheen was charged with negligent driving and failure to yield the right of way after she was released from the hospital, police said.
