An automated teller machine withdrawal led detectives to the arrest of a Howard County man and woman this week in connection with a home-invasion robbery.
Elisabeth Sharon Parkman, 19, of the 8700 block of Smithfield Place in Savage and Brett Nathan Frazier, 22, of the 5400 block of White Mane in Columbia were arrested Tuesday and charged with armed robbery, assault and theft.
Police said Detective Cpl. Dale Houseman identified two suspects after bank cards taken in the robbery were used at a Columbia Exxon station and at a Signet Bank ATM.
The break-in occurred about 7 p.m. Dec. 15 in the 8800 block of Spiral Cut in the Village of Long Reach.
A woman knocked on the victim's door and told him that she was having car trouble, according to court documents. When the victim let the woman inside, a man followed.
The man brandished a knife and ordered the victim to lie down, pushing the victim's face into the floor before using speaker wire to tie the man's hands and feet, according to the documents.
The robber demanded the victim's personal identification numbers for his bank card before the pair fled.
Frazier and Parkman were being held at the Howard County Detention Center in lieu of bail.
