Henrietta Johnson, 83, a former licensed nurse who became the first black woman elected to the Delaware General Assembly, died Oct. 20 in Wilmington.

Ben Welden, 96, who appeared in movies with Ronald Reagan, Jimmy Stewart and Lauren Bacall, died Friday in Los Angeles. He appeared in 50 films from 1935 to 1956, including "Hollywood Cavalcade," "The Star Maker," "The Big Sleep" and "Hollywood or Bust."
