Angels update

Anaheim's improbable run toward a division title continues. The Angels are a half-game ahead of Seattle in the AL West. They bring a new leadoff hitter in Rickey Henderson, who was acquired in a trade with San Diego this week to replace Tony Phillips. Phillips was arrested and charged with cocaine possession. Former Oriole Eddie Murray won't be here; he was released Thursday. The Orioles will miss left-hander Chuck Finley, who beat them in Anaheim last week, and rookie Jason Dickson, who is 2-0 against them. Dickson has some shoulder tightness and is being pushed back to Wednesday. Watson and Springer will go on three days' rest. Knuckleballer Springer stopped Milwaukee on six hits Thursday for his third complete game, ending a three-game Angels' losing streak. Anaheim lost two of three in last week's Orioles series. The teams have split eight games overall.
