Angels update

The Angels are the one team in the American League West with a winning record against the Orioles. The Orioles won two of three at Camden Yards in May, but the Angels swept two games at Anaheim Stadium the following week. More recently, they have been one of the hottest teams in the majors, with nine victories in their past 11 games and 23 in their past 29. Desperate for pitching depth, the Angels traded for veteran right-hander Hill before the July 31 deadline. Tomorrow's starter Finley got off to a horrible 3-6 start this season, but he has come back to run off eight straight victories to rank among the hottest pitchers in baseball. The Angels have been getting it done at the plate, where they are well on pace to set club standards for hits and doubles and challenge club marks for team batting average (.282), runs (866) and RBI (808).
