Execs wanted: The strong economy has increased the demand for well-paid executives, reports Korn/Ferry International, an executive search firm. Korn/Ferry says demand for managers earning $100,000 or more rose 37 percent in North America during the first quarter and 20 percent globally. The company says many companies that slashed their payrolls earlier in the decade now find they need to build top management to handle new business opportunities.
Pub etiquette: If you're on business in Britain and expect to meet clients in a pub, you might want to be aware of some of the local customs. According to Delta Air Lines' Sky magazine, table service is rare, so head for the bar to place your order. Drinks for an entire table are bought by the round, not individually, and everyone takes a turn.
