Intruders broke in to Northeast High School in Pasadena over the weekend and damaged several computers, police said. The intruders also may have stolen computer parts, a videocassette recorder and a television.
Schools officials were to continue an inventory today at the school in the 1100 block of Duvall Highway.
Police said the break-in occurred between 11: 55 p.m. Friday -- the last time a schools employee was in the building before the weekend -- and about 5 a.m. yesterday, when a custodian reported for work.
The intruders broke in through a window in a second-floor social studies classroom, then entered the media center and three computer classrooms by breaking small panes of glass, reaching in and unlocking the doors, police said.
The intruders removed or damaged parts of several computers, on which they left scraps of paper with "out of order" written on them, police said.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Eastern Police District at 222-6145.
