Bank robbery/arrest: A man was arrested shortly after a robbery at the NationsBank at Northwood Shopping Center in the 1500 block of Havenwood Road about 8: 35 a.m. yesterday. When Officer Paul Cuda drove up, a person pointed to a man who was running from the bank. Cuda got out of the police cruiser and briefly chased the man before arresting him. Police recovered money and a shotgun. The FBI charged Leonard Edward Cannady, 56, of the 2700 block of Overland Ave. in Northeast Baltimore with armed bank robbery and other offenses.
Shooting: During an apparent dispute over drugs in a house in the 800 block of Jack St. about 2: 20 a.m. Tuesday, a man was shot in the upper chest. He was in critical condition yesterday at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
Theft/arrest: A man was arrested Tuesday when he tried to leave the Stop, Shop & Save store in the 1400 block of N. Monroe St. without paying for food valued at $24.
Burglary: Property valued at nearly $6,100 was stolen Sunday from a house in the 2700 block of Winchester St. Taken were three mink coats, several rings, bracelets, gold chains, a gold watch, a laptop computer and other property.
Robbery: A woman was walking across a parking lot in the 6500 block of Eberle Drive about 8: 35 p.m. Tuesday when two men shoved her to the ground and robbed her of a purse containing cash and property, all valued at $60.
Robbery: A 19-year-old Johns Hopkins University student was in the 2700 block of St. Paul St. about 11: 40 p.m. Tuesday when a man with a knife robbed him of his wallet containing $4.
Burglary: More than $4,000 worth of tools and equipment were stolen Monday or Tuesday from an enclosed storage area at Potts & Callahan Inc., a construction company in the 4800 block of Falls Road.
North Point Precinct
Burglary: A microwave oven and a videocassette recorder, valued at nearly $200, were stolen Monday or Tuesday from a house in the 7900 block of Lansdale Road.
Burglary: A handgun, field glasses and at least two personal watercraft helmets, all valued at nearly $1,200, were stolen Monday or Tuesday from a house on Malton Court.
Burglary: A 31-inch television, compact disc player, jewelry, $45, a videocassette recorder and several compact discs were stolen between March 27 and Tuesday from a townhouse in the first block of Solar Circle.
Bank robbery: A gunman robbed the First National Bank in the 3700 block of Old Court Road in Pikesville of an undisclosed sum of money about 11: 15 a.m. Tuesday.
Burglary: Jewelry valued at more than $7,600 was stolen Tuesday from the bedroom of a house in the 10500 block of Cascade Falls Court in Owings Mills.
