Great chefs and you
The guest chef at the Sixth Annual Great Chefs Dinner is Roberto Donna, chef-owner of the noted Galileo restaurant in Washington. He'll be joined by Francesco Ricci, of the former i Ricci in Washington. This year's event, which benefits the Child Abuse Prevention Center of Maryland, is at Linwood's/Due in Owings Mills. Fat and stress
According to Susan Mitchell and Catherine Christie, authors of "I'd Kill for a Cookie" (Dutton, 1997, $22.95), the top 10 sources of fat for Americans are, in order, margarine, whole milk, shortening, mayonnaise and salad dressings, American cheese, ground beef, low-fat milk, eggs, butter and vanilla ice cream. The book is a guide to managing the problem of stress-eating.
Graul's, the small local group of upscale markets in Baltimore, Annapolis and Hereford, is opening a new store in Timonium at 1200 Tullamore Road in the Roundwood shopping center. The store, scheduled to open in early April, will feature Graul's meat and specialty departments, as well as a wine and spirits shop.
