De Angelis delegated
Debby De Angelis, Towson State's associate director of athletics for internal operations, has been named by the U.S. Rowing Association's board of directors as one of three delegates to the FISA (international federation for rowing) Extraordinary Congress, which will take place Feb. 12-16 in Sydney, Australia.
The FISA Extraordinary Congress occurs once every four years. It's the only time the FISA statutes and bylaws can be changed.
Joining De Angelis at the congress will be U.S. Rowing president Dave Vogel and U.S. Rowing executive director Frank Coyle.
De Angelis was manager of the 1976 and 1980 women's Olympic rowing teams. She's been a member of the board of directors of the U.S. Rowing Association for 16 years.
At Towson State, De Angelis is responsible for the supervision and management of all internal support programs for the athletic department.
