Shooting: Police were seeking a woman who allegedly shot her sister's 33-year-old former boyfriend in the left side during an argument as he stood near the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. and Washington boulevards. The victim was listed in critical condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center. Police said an arrest warrant charging the woman with assault with intent to murder and a handgun violation was to have been issued.
Bank robbery: A man robbed the Signet Bank in the 300 block of E. Lombard St. of an undisclosed sum of money Tuesday after placing a suspicious package on the counter and giving a teller a holdup note. Police said the package, which the robber left behind, contained what appeared to be common nonexplosive household items.
Shooting: A 37-year-old man from the 1500 block of Montpelier St. was walking toward his car parked in the 1200 block of Greenmount Ave. when a gunman approached and shot him in the groin Monday. The victim was listed in good condition at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. No arrest had been made.
Theft from truck: Power and hand tools, all valued at nearly $1,000, were stolen Monday from a 1991 Ford pickup truck parked at Northwood Shopping Center in the 1600 block of Havenwood Road.
Burglary: Someone entered a house in the 5700 block of Chinquapin Parkway through a door Monday and stole two 20-inch televisions, stereo equipment, a videocassette recorder, 20 compact discs, two television cable boxes, a 24-inch gold chain and a flip phone, all valued at more than $2,100.
Burglary: A videocassette recorder and a portable radio, all valued at nearly $600, were stolen Monday from a house in the 3100 block of N. Calvert St.
Carjacking: A Northeast city man was in the 4000 block of Ayrdale Ave. Monday when two men, one with a handgun, forced him out of his 1992 Acura Vigor with tags DTD 707 and drove off.
Burglary: Someone entered a house in the 5100 block of Liberty Heights Ave. Monday and stole two telephones.
Burglary: An air conditioner, fax machine and saw, all valued at nearly $2,000, were stolen Monday from a house in the 2600 block of Fairview Ave. by someone who entered with a key.
Theft from vehicle: Someone entered a 1987 BMW parked in the 2800 block of Presbury St. on Monday and stole a cellular phone.
Stolen car: A 1993 Nissan Altima with tags CUE 283 was stolen Monday in the first block of S. Worthington Road.
Stolen car: Police were searching for a four-door red 1993 Dodge Shadow with tags XHF 316 that was stolen Monday in the 400 block of Millington Ave.
Burglary: A 27-inch television, videocassette recorder, television cable box, four watches, gold jewelry, clock-radio and tools, all valued at nearly $2,000, were stolen Monday from a house in the 1000 block of Poplar Grove St. by someone who entered through a basement door.
Robbery: A 20-year-old man from the 4500 block of Dunland Road was in the 3800 block of Colborne Road on Monday when a gunman robbed him of a gold chain and his $80 jacket.
Robbery: After requesting a hair brush from an employee of Sally's beauty supplies in the 700 block of N. Rolling Road yesterday afternoon, a man pulled a handgun and ordered the employee to give him money from two cash registers and a safe. After taking an undisclosed sum, the gunman forced the employee into a rear room and then fled.
Burglary: Someone entered the Brickman Group building in the 11100 block of McCormick Road through a garage door Monday and stole three grass trimmers, a leaf blower and a generator, all valued at more than $2,400.

Stolen car: A four-door blue 1991 Toyota Tercel with tags DBD 090 was stolen Monday from the Eastpoint Mall lot.
Vandalism: A 1989 Dodge was parked in the first block of Center Place in Dundalk on Monday when someone shattered one of its windows, valued at more than $400.
Robbery/arrest: Police arrested a 14-year-old boy after he allegedly robbed another youth of his a necklace at gunpoint Monday in the 1700 block of Holaview Road.
Theft: Someone reached over the counter at Axis sports wear in the Eastpoint Mall yesterday and stole more than $500.
