Christmas services to feature choirs, musicals, pageants

REMEMBERING Christmas celebrations of the past have me in a nostalgic mood on the last Friday before the holiday.

I'm remembering happier times, less complicated by the mad rush to make it the most perfect Christmas ever. It's odd, but the memories of the perfect moments are far outweighed by the memories of funny incidents. Fond memories linger of the flukes that seemed like total disasters, yet turned out fine, with no great damage to the psyche. Somehow we made it through, and with love and understanding we'll make it through again.

My holiday wish to all: May the spirit of love, peace, and understanding fill your heart now, and throughout the New Year.
