4 arrested at Western Maryland College on drug charges

THE BALTIMORE SUN

Four people were arrested on drug charges at Western Maryland College in Westminster late Monday after police responded to a complaint about an odor of burning marijuana.

Charged were Lynda E. Oxley, 18, Jason T. Dickerson, 18, Jason M. Morse, 20, and Andrea J. MacMillan, 18. Dickerson gave police an address in Monmouth, N.J., court records show; the other three live on College Hill Drive on the campus.

In charging documents, city officers said they were called to Whiteford Hall about 10: 30 p.m. by campus security and smelled marijuana as they approached a room. Officers said they saw a plastic bag containing suspected marijuana on the floor of the room.

MacMillan said she lived in the room and gave permission for a search, police said. Drug paraphernalia was in view, police said.

Court records show MacMillan was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

She was released on her own recognizance after being taken before a District Court commissioner.

The others were charged with possession of marijuana and released on personal recognizance.
