Gethsemane Baptist offering gift to community

To celebrate Christmas this weekend, accept a gift from members of Gethsemane Baptist Church.

In its second annual Christmas gift to the community, the church presents an orchestral ensemble, composed of 32 members of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, that will accompany the Sanctuary Choir in a program called "Tree of Light" at Glenelg High School at 7: 30 p.m. Sunday.

About 40 singers from Gethsemane Baptist and other churches will make up the choir.

Gethsemane's associate pastor and minister of music, Bob Simpson, will direct the program.

Traditional Christmas music and contemporary upbeat Christian music will fill the air for about an hour.

The concert is free, but donations will be accepted. Informal dress is acceptable. Information: 442-5853.
