Georgia Tech (4-1) at Maryland (6-0)

TV/Radio: Chs. 54, 9/WBAL (1090 AM), WTOP (1500 AM)
Outlook: The Terrapins, in their earliest ACC opener since 1981, want to build off wins over Cal and George Washington; the Yellow Jackets want to rebound from a 76-58 loss to Temple. Georgia Tech had 21 turnovers in that game and Maryland will be looking to exploit freshmen guards Kevin Morris (10 ppg, 5.6 apg, 3.4 turnovers a game) and Jason Floyd (7.8 ppg). But Maryland's sophomore guards, Terrell Stokes and Laron Profit, have shown their erratic tendencies. After 29 assists and only 10 turnovers in the first four games, Stokes had only five assists and 11 turnovers against GW. After scoring 24 points on 10-of-14 shooting against Cal, Profit had just four points against GW. As of yesterday, there were 2,500 tickets available.
Site: Bramlage Coliseum, Manhattan, Kan.
Outlook: This is the Eagles' third game against a Big 12 opponent this season; they opened with losses at Oklahoma and Nebraska. Senior forward Terquin Mott leads Coppin at 19.0 ppg and 10.3 rpg, and junior guard Antoine Brockington averages 15.8 ppg.
